Whenever I have occasion to make a gift for someone, I look through my queue first. There is always something nice in there that I would love to make that would also fit my giftee. This sweet shawl/scarf, Sugared Violets, has been on my to-do list for some time and I thought it would be a little something special to work up for a friend of mine. Its loooooong crescent shape can be worn around your shoulders as a light shawl, or wrapped around your neck for a cozy scarf. It takes just one skein of sock yarn for this size medium version!
I love how it looks beautiful in both a solid color (as in the pattern) and the lightly variegated Heritage Paints. I think I would enjoy wearing this around my neck as a scarf, letting it ruffle as it drapes. This would be stunning in the soft, drapey Berroco Folio!
