Daisy was a hit at the yarn tasting, and continues to impress! It’s soft and fuzzy with a cotton base, and comes in sweet pastels. Check out this adorable pattern for a hat that just pulls at your baby-knitting heartstrings! I am casting on for one, right now (well, as soon as I’m done with this post). We have this pattern in stock but not on the website, so let me know if you want one before they disappear!
I also bought a few colors of Stiletto, just for some sparkly sock yarn fun! These are striping colorways of superwash yarn wrapped in a metallic thread.
While we’re talking sock yarn, I need to highlight Sakkie! Sakkie is a wonderful blend of smooth mohair, superwash wool, and nylon, and has a hand-dyed look. The mohair gives the yarn a little bit of shine and strength and takes dye so beautifully. Pair a variegated skein with a solid skein and you get a light, warm and wonderfully drapey shawl! (a Daybreak, perhaps? or a Morlynn?)
If you have been a fan of Jelli Beenz but lamented the 50g ball size… YOU WIN! Plymouth is now putting Jelli Beenz up in 100g balls so you won’t have extra tails to weave in on your kid’s hats. Jelli Beenz is a fun yarn based on Encore, with a rainbow twist! Check out all of the colors here – the 50g balls are at the top, the 100g balls at the bottom.
We’ve also added a few new colors in Encore Worsted and Encore Colorspun that I thought were fabulous. Whether you’re a longtime Encore fan or just starting out with discovering the joy of this washable staple, hurry in to nab a few of these stunning skeins!
Both Colorspun colorways are self-striping and stunning in person. The new solid red is the Stitch Red colorway, so with every purchase we “Stick it to heart disease!”
I hope you see something you like! There will be more things to highlight in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to show you! Until then, you can catch more daily updates by liking us on Facebook. Happy Spring!
